Fairfield Methodist Sec donate bicycles to Sok Sam Primary School Students

Families in Karncharnkouy village Yeang Commune, Pouk District, Siem Reap Province Kingdom of Cambodia

Father : Mouy Hor Age 35

Occupation: Famer

Mother : Han Nurt Age 36

Occupation: Housewife

Son : Hor Hong (M) Age 11

Studies at Sok San Primary in Grade 3

Girl age 9 stays at home

Son goes to Sok San Pri on foot about 3km very early in the morning before school lesson starts at 7.30am. The family was happy when they received bicycle for Sor Hong to go to school

And the parents also added that whenever they go to market they don't have to spend much time if by foot to market.

Mother : Murn To Age 40

Occupation: Housewife

Daughter : To Kourn (F) Age 14 studies at Sok San Primary Grade 4

The other 2 children (boy and girl) have stopped studies at

Grade 4 and 5, reason being the parents needed two of them to help them to work at the rice fields.

To Kourn goes to Sok San Primary on foot about 3km very early in the morning before school lessons startat 7.30am. The family is grateful when they received a bicycle for their daughter to go to school.And the parents also explained that from now on, going to the market is time saving as they need not have to travel by foot as they have a bicycle. The nearest market is located about 6km along Highway # 6 one way.
